Rich Rising Routine

LET’S TALK;
SALT + WATER + LIME
MEDITATE
INTERMITENT FASTING
SWEAT/ MOVEMENT/ BREATH
COLD SHOWER
PHONE RESTRICTIONS

The alarm goes off. You roll over and fumble for the snooze button. You drift back into a half sleeping state before the alarm strikes again five minutes later. As you slowly come to life you reach for your phone and start checking notifications, social media, news… you know. You begin going through likes and messages and your brain lights up at the release of dopamine. Maybe you start to read the latest news on the new strain ripping its way through the masses (update according to the CDC, Covid is now, “OVER”), or the update on war unraveling in Ukraine. You eventually find your way to to the coffee pot.

I have been stuck in this shitty habit for years, and it’s taken some consistency and discipline to shift my morning routine into an intentional ritual. What I share here has been such a game changer for me, I’d like to explore it with ya’ll.

P.S. I am trying something new this week, and it is a small act that has actually had a significant impact on how I begin my day. It's quite simple. I wake up, take a conscious breath, and allow a soft smile spread across my face.

Now before I’ve even opened my eyes, I've smiled.

In this rising, I choose to indulge in this simple reminder that I am the creator. I'm in charge now. I get to decide to start my day off with a subtle embodiment of gratitude… and whatever may follow, I might remember to release my need to control, and navigate the day with a sense of trust and ease.

MORNING ROUTINE IS KEY

MAKE WHAT YOU DO RITUALISTIC.

INTENTION + ACTION + CONSISTENCY

These days my morning ritual has looked the same over the last several months and hasn't changed much. In my pov, that proves it is going quite well. Although no two days look exactly the same, here are staples in my daily routine that help me ground, espeically when emotions are high and the roller coaster ride of life doesn't seem to stop at times.

ONE : SOFT SMILE/ STRETCH

You can even stretch or knock out a couple yoga poses in bed.

TWO : SEA SALT + LIME + WARM H2O

This powerful concoction is the first thing you should put into your body every morning. Here's why;

  • Supports adrenal health. Adrenals need sodium for proper function.

  • Adrenal glands regulate metabolism, energy level, immune system, blood pressure, and hydration.

  • Alkalizing and hydrating effects. Regulates fluid balance in the body.

  • Supports digestion and gut health.

  • This drink brings the body's pH to more alkaline level... it helps wake up body energetically.

  • Stimulates internal organs to detox.. as well as your liver and skin.

Lime:

  • Powerful antioxidant properties that eliminate toxins and purify the blood. Detoxes the liver.

Salt: SEA salt not refined table salt

  • Necessary for proper adrenal function

FILTERED OR PURIFIED WATER ALWAYS. WHY YOU STILL DRINKING TAP WATER IN '22

***Wait at least one hour before ingesting any caffeine AND before turning on phone.

THREE : MEDITATION + MOVEMENT

*MEDITATION

For a while I struggled to make friends with meditation. Some mornings it may seem like daunting task that was in the way of all the other things I have to do. When this anxiety shows up it is even more important to slow down and meditate- spirit is calling me home! It's common to feel some resistance to committing time for stillness in the morning and throughout the day.

What has helped broaden my meditation toolkit is learning and practicing different forms of meditation. Guided meditations are a great way to start out. Meditation doesn’t always have to look like one sitting in easy pose in still silence. Exploring mantra, chanting, breath worth, and kundalini are other forms of practice will open you up to realizing your power to recharge and manifest.

These days morning meditations feel more like a call to a meeting; a call to come home to self; a divine intervention. It's almost as if I haven't really taken my first full breath until I find my seat and take time to settle in.

Sometimes at my soul's request, I find nourishment through mindful and intuitive movement, singing, breath, tapping, affirmations... to name a few.

Once you dive into the world of meditations, consistent practice and Svādhyāya ( self- study) leads to internal transformation, therefore transformation in your physical reality.

If you’d like some help to get started, feel free join me in daily meditation (through the classes tab). Here you have the chance to explore various styles of guided meditation, or any style that interests you upon request, with yours truly.

FOUR: INTERMITTENT FASTING

I love breakfast. I love food. I love to eat. I haven't always had a healthy relationship with food. At times I still struggle to maintain a consistent eating schedule.

Since starting to explore the benefits of fasting and time-restricted eating this year, I can confidently say that I've witnessed profound mental and physical benefits of implementing both into my life.

I'm currently playing with a 7 hour window of time restricted feeding.

I don't have my first meal until around noon. It usually consists of chia pudding, fresh fruit (always organic), granola, and whatever supplements that call to me added. Cordyceps, lions mane, protein, maca.....cacao. I try to have finish my last meal before 7 pm, considering I pass out around 10 pm.

Side note: I’m so sad to say goodbye to coffee. I wish we didn't have to break up; but my body asking me to. Try black tea with a spoon-full of raw honey and a dash of heavy whipping cream if you’re feeling naughty and thick. You can also add in cinnamon, pumpkin spice, or even turmeric.

Pro tip for intermittent fasting; find a schedule, and stick with it. Don't eat at 10:30 am some days and at noon others. This defeats the purpose and benefits will not be consistent if you aren't either.

FIVE : MOVE / SWEAT / BREATHE

Walk, run, lift, breathe, zumba, twerk, dance, fuck, hike.

What stimulates you? What get's your body talking? What is your body saying? How do you know your nervous system is up or down-regulating and balanced?

Combat seasonal depression and high anxiety with body work.

Make it sacred. Make it an intentional act of loving self care.

SIX : SAUNA + COLD SHOWER

This combo will shift your internal chemistry, bring you mental clarity and sharpness, and increase your ability to remain calm in difficult situations.

Happy rising, happy money march, happy manifesting!

Love you guys,

MoMo <3
